Helping Hands Pediatric Therapy, Inc.
was opened
in 2001 and is solely owned and directed by Stefanie Willard, OTR/L.
Graduated
from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, she is NBCOT registered and
has been licensed in the states of Tennessee, Colorado, Arizona,
Indiana, and Georgia. Her specialties include Sensory Integration,
Autism, early intervention, and the Handwriting Without Tears Program.
She has over 15 years of pediatric treatment experience.
Our staff consists of both Occupational and Speech Therapists with
specialties in a variety of treatment approaches and pediatric programs.
We are currently providing early intervention services for children in
their natural environment, where we
meet with
children’s care providers, and incorporate families into the therapy
process. This inclusive approach allows our therapists to effectively
address the complex needs of each child and family.
We believe
that early intervention is the best intervention. Therefore, we work
closely with local agencies and families to identify infants/toddlers
and children who are at risk for language or developmental delays.
Our therapists facilitate the
child to develop or improve the necessary skills for daily living
through activity
in the “natural
setting” by working with children in their homes, daycares, schools,
or Head Start programs. We build partnerships that respect individual
family needs, beliefs, cultures and values.
Each member
of the professional staff is a state licensed and certified
specialist working within their chosen field. As nationally certified
therapists, our experience is regularly reinforced through continuing
education, training, and participation with professional
organizations. Active involvement in the professional community
joined with a commitment from the heart enables HHPT professionals to
offer the highest quality of services possible.
We believe
that the most effective therapy occurs in a client’s own community
where learned skills will be used. The professionals of HHPT
travel to daycare centers, homes, and private schools to provide
services in familiar surroundings for client convenience.
